Project Overview

This project is located in Shanghai, China, and was led by Vivian, Design Director of VCD Design. It is a lakeside detached villa renovation project integrating architectural appearance and interior design. The residence includes one basement level, three above-ground floors, and one mezzanine, with an interior area of approximately 533.5 m² and terrace and balcony landscape areas of approximately 71.2 m².

Located by the water, the villa benefits from a strong natural setting and scenic views. The design focus is not only to update the architectural appearance and interior spaces, but also to create a closer relationship between the lakeside landscape, natural light, family living, and residential privacy.

Under the existing residential conditions, the design reorganizes the architectural appearance, interior layout, terrace areas, and multi-level circulation. The result is a residence that better supports contemporary high-end living while maintaining a calm and refined connection with its lakeside environment.
