VCD Group is shaped by two complementary areas of expertise: business development and spatial design.
Our work is led by Calvin Chou and Vivian Chan, whose backgrounds bring together hotel operations, digital marketing, property strategy, architecture, interior design, and guest experience.
Together, they guide VCD Group’s work across design, hotel development, and property transformation projects.
Calvin Chou is the Founder and CEO of VCD Group and LiveGRACE.
His background spans digital marketing, business management, hotel operations, and property development strategy. Before founding the company, he worked with international brands including Hyatt and Groupon, and built experience in market positioning, online sales, guest experience, and operational planning.
Calvin holds an MBA from Rutgers University and an MSE from the University of Pennsylvania.
At VCD Group, Calvin focuses on business strategy, hotel development consulting, market positioning, and operational planning for property owners.
Vivian Chan is the Founder and Design Director of VCD Design.
With more than 20 years of experience in architecture and interior design, she has led residential, commercial, hotel, and apartment-hotel design projects across Taiwan, Shanghai, Tokyo, and overseas markets.
Vivian holds a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
At VCD Group, Vivian leads design direction, spatial strategy, and design quality across renovation, hotel, apartment-hotel, and property transformation projects.
Our hospitality experience began in 2013, when Vivian started hosting our family’s apartment in Taipei. In 2016, Calvin developed that experience into a professional accommodation management business in Taipei and Shanghai.
We entered Japan in 2018. Through LiveGRACE, our work expanded to apartment hotels and vacation homes, bringing spatial design and daily operations together.
Today, VCD Design and LiveGRACE connect our work in design and hospitality. We help owners consider a property’s positioning, layout and operating needs together, drawing on what we learn from the properties we manage.
