VCD Design is an architecture and interior design studio dedicated to creating spaces that enrich everyday life. We believe every space has its own character, shaped not only by architecture but also by the people, culture, and way of life around it.
Our work spans residential, hospitality, and commercial environments, with a particular focus on adaptive reuse, renovation, and hospitality design. By balancing aesthetics, functionality, and human experience, we create spaces that feel timeless, authentic, and deeply connected to their surroundings.

Architectural & Interior Design
Founded in Taiwan, VCD Design has gradually expanded its practice across different markets, from Taiwan to Shanghai, Japan, and New Zealand.
Working across different cities and cultures has shaped how we design. Each market brings different ways of living, building traditions, regulations, climates, and expectations. Rather than applying one design language everywhere, we learn from each place and create spaces that respond to their local context.
Through this international experience, we bring together global perspectives with close attention to how people actually live, work, gather, and stay.
We come from different cultural backgrounds with diverse professional experience, but our passion for design and hospitality is the same. On the journey of pursuing excellence, we work closely, encourage each other, and build strong partnership for long-term growth and innovation.
Vivian is a Taiwan-born architect and interior designer with more than 20 years of experience. Since founding VCD Design, she has expanded her practice from Taiwan to Shanghai, California, Japan, and New Zealand, working across different cultures, lifestyles, and built environments.
Her hospitality journey began with part-time Airbnb hosting in Taipei in 2013, which later grew into LiveGRACE, a professional hospitality business. The experience also brought a practical guest perspective into her approach to design.
Vivian holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania and has taught architecture at several universities.

Having lived in Tainan, Taichung, Taipei, Kyoto, and Shanghai, she enjoys experiencing different ways of life across cities and countries, while maintaining a consistent aesthetic perspective. She sees space as a balance of emotion and logic—from spatial planning and styling to the overall feeling of a place. Her goal is to bring these elements together into thoughtful details that reflect each person’s way of living.
She also enjoys exploring creative activities and occasionally shares her cooking and floral design work online.
