Project Overview

This project is located in Shanghai, China, and was led by Vivian, Design Director of VCD Design. It is a high-end detached residence renovation project integrating architectural appearance, interior design, and private garden landscape. The residence has three floors, with an interior area of approximately 395 m² and an outdoor landscape area of approximately 248 m².

The design of Shanghai Mingyuan Villa focuses on rethinking the relationship between the building appearance, interior layout, and garden landscape under the existing residential conditions. Rather than a surface-level update, the project aims to create a clearer architectural expression and a stronger connection between indoor living and outdoor space.

The exterior uses metal texture, natural stone, and exterior wall finishes to create a clean and stable architectural image. The interior continues the modern design language while keeping the living environment comfortable, calm, and refined. Together, the architectural appearance, interior space, and garden landscape form a consistent high-end residential atmosphere.
